Terms of service
Last updated: 3 November 2026
These terms apply to Schola Exam Builder (the “Service”), provided by Ahmet Aksay, trading as Schola Education, [address] (“Schola”, “we”). By creating an account you agree to them.
1. The Service
The Service helps teachers build quizzes, exams and practice papers, supplies original and exam-style questions with mark schemes, and suggests marks for students' scanned work. Suggested marks, mark schemes and comments are produced with the help of artificial intelligence and are suggestions: the teacher reviews and approves every mark before it is used. Schola does not replace the teacher's professional judgement.
2. Accounts
You must give accurate details and keep your password secret. School accounts are managed by the school's account manager, who may invite and remove teachers. You are responsible for activity under your account.
3. Plans, payment and cancellation
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our card orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Schools that pay by invoice and bank transfer buy directly from Schola.
Plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. Monthly allowances renew at the start of each billing month and do not carry over; extra packs are valid for 12 months. You may cancel at any time; the plan stays active until the end of the paid period. Refunds are described in our refund policy. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal.
4. Your content
Papers and mark schemes you upload remain yours. You confirm that you have the right to use them with your students and to upload them for marking. Uploaded papers are used only to provide the Service to you; they are not added to the shared question bank or shown to other users.
5. Students' work and personal data
When you upload students' work, you (or your school) decide why and how it is processed, and Schola processes it on your behalf as described in the privacy policy. You confirm that you have the authority and any consent needed under the rules that apply to you and your students.
6. Questions and materials from the Service
Original and exam-style questions written by Schola are licensed to you for teaching your own students, including printing and sharing with them. You may not resell them or publish them as a collection. Exam-style questions are written in the style of public examinations; Schola is not affiliated with or endorsed by any examination board.
7. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Service: no attempts to break security, scrape the question bank, share accounts beyond your plan, or upload unlawful content.
8. Availability and liability
We aim for the Service to be available and accurate but cannot guarantee it is error-free. To the extent permitted by law, Schola's total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Ending the agreement
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. On closing, your uploaded files are deleted as described in the privacy policy.
10. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live. Contact: info@scholaeducation.com
